Meet Your Farmers

On the outskirts of Longmont, in Weld County, two electrical engineers decided to realize a lifelong dream of owning a farm. We both grew up surrounded by animals and tied to nature; we have always understood the profound joy found in that connection. By combining years of engineering discipline and precision with our passion for the land, we have built a home and a farm designed to share that joy with our community.

We view our animals as family and hold a deep respect for our land. This shapes everything we grow and reflects directly in the quality of what we produce.

Because our own childhoods were rooted in the outdoors, we wanted to help the next generation foster that same bond. This inspired us to create educational materials based on real farm life, explained in engaging ways to help children see themselves as part of the natural world.

Our farm is named ChoopanFarm, from the Persian word Choopan (/CHo͞opän/) meaning shepherd. This is where we live, where we produce, and where we craft.

We do all of it, The Shepherd’s Way.
